Geek Makeovers

Well, I was dragging my feet but now I’m not. Here’s what’s happening:
Stylegoddess.com will be a video blog VERY soon. I will be doing videoed makeovers and they will appear on these pages. I’m also going to be working with an amazing celebrity in the open-source, bay area, technologically-advanced scene. But I’m going to leave his name and his website’s name out of this until I find out if he’s ok with me plugging his site. Suffice it to say for now that he is a STAR.
So…that said, if you or someone you know falls under the category of “geek” and wants to be featured for one of my makeovers, LET ME KNOW right away. These makeovers will be videoed and professionally edited, then put on Stylegoddess.com and the other soon-to-be-divulged awesome website.
Cheers,
Erica aka The Stylegoddess.

I would like to nominate the engineering department that I work in. Great guys but quite geeky and makeovers would be awesome! I can imagine the good looking men underneath the currently geeky outer, just waiting for the world to see them!
Laura…you’ll be hearing from me.
We should meet

My Girlfriend’s brother is an amazingly smart, and funny guy… Until you get him out into public. He still wears tube socks because “they fit no matter what”. He also still thinks that sleeveless sweatshirts are a good find, becuse they “keep you warm, but not too hot”.
We’re trying to figure out a way to get him into some suitable clothing, and get him to do something with his appearance. He’s a great dude, but he really needs some help.

Peter,
We can rebuild him. I’ll email you separately about this. Cheers.
What is your opinion of the “mock turtleneck”?
Well Jeff, They’re more comfortable than regular turtlenecks. They’re just not as cool. In fact they’re not cool at all.
What shoes do you recommend for men? Clarks? Vans?
That’s kind of a wide question, Jeff. I like Kenneth Cole loafers and Nunn Bush sneakers/trainers best probably. Depends on the occasion, type of dress etc. but I suppose those would work for most types of casual to semi formal clothing.
What do you think of the Clarks English Desert Trek shoes? You know they have the seam down the middle?
I don’t like Clarks shoes and I haven’t since I was a kid and people started wearing Wallabys. (I’m not sure if plural for Wallaby is Wallabies.) If I had any respect for Clarks shoes it was lost by the time I was about 11.
Gosh, lay off the Starbucks for a day. Is it a political thing or just the style of their shoes? I need a new pair of shoes for my trip to FL.
I don’t know what to say. You DID ask for my opinion, right? And I DID give it to you, right? Why don’t you get Diesel trainers or Nunn Bush ones? They’ll look awesome and you’re guaranteed to get laid like 400 times by exotic foreign women if you wear those shoes. Yup.
I just went and got some really nice Sketchers.
Now to look nice but not be bling bling what about those henly shirts for men?
See I cant wear short sleeve button down shirst because I am to skinny and dont look right. And I dont look right in polos either. That has been agreed upon by quite a few people.
What about a rugged yet successful look?
I dont have 99% of my boby tatooed or have 57 rings peircing my face….which is the type of guy 99% of all women are into these days.
Are Movado wathces ok?
Jeff, do you ever look at magazines to see what guys are wearing? Most of them don’t have many or any tattoos or piercings. It’s still very in NOT to have that, so don’t worry. I’ve seen some Sketchers that I really love. Their trainers are surprisingly hip, I thought. Yeah henley shirts are good. Sometimes with short sleeved tshirts over, sometimes with a nice cotton striped shirt and cotton zip jacket ala Banana Republic is good. I bought my best friend a gray henley and then a nice cotton striped shirt from BR for xmas.
Thank you
