Erica! You know how I love this work. I’ll be talking about you tonight at “Interesting Portland,” tonight. Topic: “The Magic of the Magic Bus.” 🙂
Spoke to kk+ today.
What’s your memory of the magic bus? You were a big part of it and have influenced its course to this day. I’d love to hear your thoughts.
aww thanks, alex!
yeah i got a msg from kk today too. didn’t actually TALK but yeah.
my memory of the magic bus…kk had mentioned wanting to stop by my show while at Gnomedex. he’d already purchased “Delta Mace” and was planning on picking it up. and then you mentioned wanting to come too. And then all of a sudden somehow, overnight, the Gnomedex bus idea was born. All over the internets was talk of the Gnomedex bus, people trying to get on, people wishing they were close enough to join it. I knew the Gnomedex bus was going to be a phenomenon for a very long time.
I was definitely hoping that you and KK would maybe be able to stop by my show, and I did what I could to prepare a nice visit for you by alerting Bherd Studios that a busload of pure awesome was most likely going to be stopping by. And Bherd owners handled the provisions. Then I got a call from KK while you all were actually there. I was so honored that some of the Gnomedex crowd would leave Chris Pirillo’s event for even a few minutes to come to my show. I know you said you were going to…but still I was surprised. That was a very happy night. I was out with my parents, having dinner, when KK called me. They were so proud. So yeah, that’s my memory of it. And you and KK will forever be superheros as far as I’m concerned. XOXO
